Facebook Finding Adventures ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Facebook is a great tool. And we find some solid people there. And you also find many interesting people and interesting opinions on the internet. One person we met this week is a mother of 6 in Fiji. It was a lot of fun to talk about our different but similar families XD and she has an incredibly grateful spirit. She was telling us all about how God has blessed her family during the covid pandemic. As for strange people, I had two people tell me that they were God... Which is always an interesting twist to a conversation.  Another fun adventure is when we get a referral who doesn't get our call/text. This is kinda common because few people will pick up the phone for a random number. So then we get to track them down.  You would think that it would be easy to find a door given an address... But that is not always the case. Last night we went through a few alley ways, asked for help twice, knocked on three doors, then finally found the right one. Then we were able to pray with ...

Thai Food with a Thai Companion!

He isn't from Thailand... But he speaks Thai and lived there for a few months. Someone called us from Idaho one morning and told us that they had a friend who needed some help. So we got connected with her and luckily we could help her out. Then she got us some Thai food to thank us which was fun because Elder Ritter hasn't eaten Thai food since leaving Thailand. We were also able to meet someone from New Zealand this week through Facebook! It was a lot of fun to talk with him. He was confused about why people were celebrating the Sabbath on Saturday versus Sunday and we were able to tell him about the Law of Moses and talk about the different views on the topic. I hope that you all are doing well and เน‚เธŠเธ„เธ”ี Elder Smith

Happy New Year!

We've been able to meet a lot of great people in Pasadena! One place we've been able to do this is City Hall. There's a huge Christmas tree there and a few benches surrounding it. One time we went by City Hall to meet someone for a lesson. They weren't showing up or answering their phone, it was getting dark, and we needed dinner. After a while we decided to head home. Right as we start driving, we get a call saying she forgot but is on her way to the lesson. So we went back, and as we are walking back someone looks at us and asks if we are the Mormons. We say we are then he looks at the ground and says he needs help. We had a long discussion with him. Much of his family had turned against him. We said what we could to help him and he went on his way. He chose to not meet with us again but I sure hope that he's doing well. Another great place to meet new friends is "by the liquor store". We are teaching someone nearby, so we go there often And we carry c...
