Pickle Juice Jello

My mom was disappointed that we had fires and earthquakes last week and I just talked about my mint plant... So I'll try to do better this week.

We slept through the earthquake but it was a significant enough one that Bishop texted us in the morning to make sure we were alright. So that day I asked people about it as we walked around and it lead to some good conversations.

This past Sunday was really exciting! The Singles Ward met in person and stayed outside. And a few other wards have started some activities as well. One of them had a drive-in movie. Our ward hasn't done anything yet but they are making plans for outdoor Sacrament meetings.

The area had a special fast this Sunday and we had a non-member friend join us in the fast and attend church! It was a great meeting with some powerful testimonies.

We realized that the power of the gospel to bring families together will be a great blessing for the people we are working with. So we started asking members that we visit how the gospel has blessed their families. Their answers are awesome and it will help us a lot in our teaching efforts.

Last week one someone told us about their pickle juice jello April Fools joke... And I said that it actually sounds kinda good... So they made us some. So yeah. We ate that.

Everyone decorates for Halloween here. Which is strange because that was a really low key Holiday in Virginia. But it's fun to see all of the lights.

We also have transfer news and Elder Ramirez is leaving! I'll be staying here and receiving a new Elder. There are four new missionaries coming into the zone so there's a lot of training to be done.
