More Exotic Animals?
We had interviews with the Mission President this week so we drove up to the Mission Home. We drove there right after doing some service... and some people may have forgotten belts and shoes and the such... so we had some fun times swapping clothes in between interviews. When we took our shoes off at the door, the President said something like "and when you leave, just take any pair that fits you" as a joke. He had no idea how true that was because I left that house with different shoes on than I came with.
Anyways, the exciting part is that for whatever reason there are a bunch of peacocks in that neighborhood. Like there were three peacocks in their yard. I kid you not. Honestly, at this point if I saw a giraffe or a dragon next week I wouldn't be surprised. Okay maybe a giraffe would surprise me.
Oh and peacocks can fly? I had no idea, but I was told that they will chill in a tree then fly across the street to another tree.
We also had exchanges this week, meaning that I have a different companion for a day. It was pretty cool because I could hang out with Elder Miskho, but the day wasn't all that different. We still spent most of the day calling people.
One of the best parts of this week was that we were able to meet Jose, a member living up in La Habra Heights. He has a bunch of plants with fruits and nuts and beautiful flowers. He showed us around and it was awesome. He told us about his dragon fruit and pecan plants and gave us a fresh macadamia nut (better than the cookies by the way). We saw some bunnies and his chickens then he sent us away with a bunch of fresh eggs. It was a lot of fun to meet him and those eggs were sooooo good.
We also went on a hike today which was fun. It's weird to be hiking and not have some sort of river next to me.
